The Order of the Azure Rose

Greetings to you all and most humble and sincere wishes for the health and welfare of you and your household! I am Elizabeth Makepeace Bernard, daughter of Richard Bernard, Baron of Teesdale and Anne Dunham. I am the eldest of four girls and have two brothers. Much to the dismay of my father and a series of nurses, I am quite in love with my books. I would read all day if they did not stir me to other duties! My mother is often bemoaning my lack of interest (and thus aptitude) in many social graces, which is why I was sent to Court in hopes that my association with "True Ladies" would have a positive influence on me. For myself in Court, I hope to cultivate virtues to make my family proud, to make lasting friendships and to find some small way to become useful.
